The modern trans movement often seems at odds with the more traditionalist feminist movement. Women have spent more time than I care to think about trying break out of societal expectations of what men and women are. Trans people are trying to get the point across that biology doesn't make someone a man or a woman while still being distinguishable from men or women.

I don't know what the solution is but I'm not surprised transpeople often perpetuate gendered stereotypes.
